Antique (Georgian - 1700s) 22ct Gold Guinea Coin Pendant

Antique (Georgian - 1700s) 22ct Gold Guinea Coin Pendant

It's taken a lot of research to decipher the details of this well loved Georgian Guinea coin. The once crisp detailing of a portrait of King George III and an ornate shield to the reverse has softened over its 250 years of age.

It is still a thing of beauty and has been converted into a pendant that can be worn and shown off. Who wouldn't love a chunk of 22ct gold hanging from their necklace? And a BIG piece of history to top it off!

Due to the details that can be seen and deciphered, we can accurately date the coin to the years 1761-1786. Making it a very very old coin.

Condition: Very well loved antique condition. The bail and jump ring have been added at a later date. The jump ring is soldered shut.

Hallmarks: The full guinea coin is solid 22ct gold.

Weight: 8.5g (The coin which is solid 22ct gold weighs 8.34g) The additional bail and jump ring additions are 9ct gold.
