Antique (1924) Diamond 9ct Gold Curb Bracelet
A simple yet beautiful antique curb bracelet made in 9ct rosey gold has had a stunning addition of a sparkling brilliant cut diamond. The diamond sits in a bezel setting to a central link to show itself off. The bracelet is finished with a chunky heart padlock clasp. We think the diamond just adds to the beauty of the piece and makes it one of a kind.
The bracelet links are hollow but crafted in thick 9ct gold so it's the perfect weight to wear all day every day. The heart padlock has full hallmarks so we can date the piece to the year 1924. She's an old girl and shows her age a bit, but we think she is perfect!
The diamond has been repurposed from a vintage piece. It is a natural brilliant cut diamond VS1, I/J approx .16cts.
Condition: It is in good antique condition with wear commensurate with age. The clasp is strong and secure. There is a safety chain attached but could be easily removed if required. There are some small dark marks between the links where the diamond has been added but thee do not stand out when worn (see photos).
Hallmarks: End link of the bracelet has remnants of "9ct" for 9ct gold. The heart padlock clasp is stamped 9 375 for 9ct gold, anchor for Birmingham and a date letter for the year 1924. There is also a patrial makers mark. The entire piece has been tested as 9ct gold.
