Antique 9ct Cable Link Albert Chain with Sliding T Bar

Antique 9ct Cable Link Albert Chain with Sliding T Bar

When we think of a double Albert watch chain we normally picture curb links as that was the most typical link that was used. So when we come across a different style of link, there is much excitement.

This one has everything going for it. Solid chubby cable links, a dog clip, a big bolt clasp and a sliding T bar that can float up and down the chain to be in any position desired. The T bar also spins.

The beautiful cable links that make up this antique Albert are all solid with hallmarks for 9ct gold on each one. The hallmarks are still so clear and hardly any wear to note.  There is also a makers mark, assay mark and a date letter. The makers mark on a central link matches the makers mark on the T bar so we can assume that they are original to each other.

The gold has a soft rosey hue, typical to antique 9ct gold. It's in amazing condition with only very light surface marks to note.

Hallmarked on every single link 9.375 for 9ct gold. There are also matching makers marks "JWBLd" on the T bar and a central link. You'll also find an assay hallmark for London and a date letter for 1938.

The makers mark JWBLd is registered to JW Benson Ltd of Ludgate Hill in London.

Weight: 48.1g

Length: Just under 15.5" (there is about .5" of extra cable links hanging with the T bar that could be used to extend the chain slightly - this would need to be done by a skilled jeweller)
