Antique 9ct Gold Longguard Chain

Antique 9ct Gold Longguard Chain

The details that have been put into this chain show the quality of this little piece of history. What once would have been used for a Victorian lady can now be worn as a fashionable necklace. From the beautiful long and short links to the dog and bolt clasp combo, it's a piece that can be worn so many different ways and you will find yourself reaching for it over and over again.

We absolutely love to have a longguard in our collection as they are so versatile and perfect for hanging charms from.

Hallmarks: Both the dog clasp and the bolt clasp are stamped 9c. There is a 9c tag on the end link and the entire piece has been tested as 9ct gold.

Condition: The chain is in fantastic antique condition with light wear commensurate with age. The bolt clasp and dog clasp are strong and links show no thinning. The bolt clasp is a little sticky when opening but works fine and shuts securely. The end ring by the dog clasp shows some light silver solder marks.
