Antique 9ct Rose Gold Signet Ring

Antique 9ct Rose Gold Signet Ring

We love the clear initials to the top and the stepped shoulders. Although she is dainty, she has a lot of beautiful detail!

This sweet signet ring has most of its hallmarks left so we know that she was made in Chester (which is becoming a rare hallmark to find these days!), she's solid 9ct gold and she was made by Henry Griffith & Son a well-known jeweller that was registered in 1886.

We believe the ring to be a "baby" ring, given as a gift from a grandparent or parent. It's tiny in size and appears to have been resized at some point.

We see the initials to the top as "VW" or "WV".

Condition: The ring shows a lot of wear. The band is thin and misshapen. However, the top and initials are still crisp and clear. She is comfortable when worn but care will need to be taken with the thinning shank.

Hallmarked: 9 375 for 9ct gold, Chester hallmark, date letter is too worn to decipher. Makers mark HG&S for Henry Griffth & Son.
