Antique (1901) Old Mine Cut Diamond Star Set Ring

Antique (1901) Old Mine Cut Diamond Star Set Ring

A perfect softly domed flush set diamond ring set with a chunky hand cut old mine diamond in a deep starburst engraved setting. It's crafted in rich 18ct gold that has attained a softness to it which we love. It's great as a stacker with other rings or has enough presence all on its own.

It still has all of its original hallmarks and a makers mark, making it a true piece of history that can be worn and adored for generations.

The diamond has been assessed in its setting as an old mine cut natural diamond, approx. .27tcw I/J colour - VS1/2. It is bright and packs a ton of sparkle. Inclusions can only be seen under magnification.

Condition: The ring is in good antique condition with wear commensurate with age. There are light surface marks to the gold - these can be polished out by a jeweller if desired.

Hallmarked: crown 18 for 18ct gold, anchor for Birmingham, date letter for the year 1901. Makers mark "NBs" for Nathan Brothers and would have been one of their first pieces.
