Antique (1888) 22ct Gold Band

Antique (1888) 22ct Gold Band

There is nothing better than an antique 22ct gold band in our opinion. They make the perfect addition to a stack of rings or just as beautiful on their own.

This band is special as it still has its original hallmarks so we can date it to the year 1888, which means the ring also bears an additional stamp of a young Queen Victoria head. This stamp was for Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee - to mark the 50th anniversary of Queen Victoria's accession.

This isn't just any old gold band. It's crafted in the butteriest 22ct gold and as it is over 135 years old it has that perfect soft glow you can only get from old jewels. It's a true piece of history that has made its way through the years to be on your finger.

Hallmarks: Crown 22 for 22ct gold, Anchor for Birmingham, date letter for the year 1888. Makers mark: H.A

Condition: The band is in good vintage condition with light surface marks as would be expected from a piece of this age. These can be polished out by a jeweller to take it back to its original high shine if desired.
