Antique (1911) 18ct Gold Watch Chain

This piece would have been an essential (yet stunning!) piece for a gentleman's pocket watch and has now become a desireable piece of jewellery to wear around our necks. An antique pocket watch chain comes with so much history and is the perfect addition to any jewellery collection. This one is a beauty with hallmarks on every single link of buttery 18ct gold. It has an extra large antique bolt clasp to finish the piece off to perfection - great for adding a pendant to.

The majority of Albert chains you will find on the market will be crafted from 9ct gold, but this one has beautifully chubby SOLID curb links each stamped with a crown 18 showing they are made of buttery rich 18ct gold. The entire piece is a gorgeous true 18ct yellow gold with a softness to it that you can only get from its age.

Hallmarks: Every link is stamped with Crown 18. The bolt clasp is stamped "18". A central link has the London assay mark and a date letter for the year 1911. There is also a makers mark that is quite worn.

Condition: The chain is in fantastic antique condition. There are no signs of thinning. The bolt clasp is very strong and springy.
