Antique (1903) 9ct Gold Albert Watch Chain

Antique (1903) 9ct Gold Albert Watch Chain

We are always asked for longer length pocket watch chains, which are not easy to find, as they were originally meant to carry a pocket watch, not to be worn as a necklace... So we were delighted to find this amazing length! This watch chain is 19" at the longest length which makes her the perfect necklace. And you can wear her shorter if you want. This is one of the most versatile chains we have had our hands on in awhile. The separate T bar and extra links can be used so many different ways with the chain - see the photos in the listing!

This one is a beauty with hallmarks on every single link and an additional hallmark for Chester assay and the year 1903, so we know she is an old girl. She is in absolutely gorgeous condition with no wear between the solid links. She's heavy and gorgeous.

The entire piece is a gorgeous slightly rosey warm 9ct gold. She has had a polish so has a shine to her. All of the links are solid through and through and it sits at a perfect length in a stack.

Hallmarks: Every link is stamped 9.375 for 9ct gold. The T bar is stamped 9.375 and a partial makers mark. The dog clasp is stamped 9.375. The bolt clasp has lost its hallmark but has been tested as 9ct gold. A central link also shows a partial makers mark along with the Chester assay stamp and date letter for the year 1903.

Condition: The chain is in fantastic antique condition. Dog clasp and bolt clasp are both strong and springy.

Weight: 42.28g

Length: 17.25" from end of dog clasp to end of bolt clasp. Using the T bar as an extender takes it to 19".
