Antique (1914) 9ct Double Photo Locket
We adore lockets, they’re perfect for popping photos or a secret inside and keeping close to your heart. This one is special which is obvious from the first look with the gorgeous detailing to the front and back and the intricate bail to the top.
It has its lovely original hallmarks to the back that tell us it is made from 9ct gold in Birmingham over 100 years ago.
There are 2 compartments inside to hold 2 photos. Both metal frames and plastic covers, along with piece of backing fabric are present in both windows.
The engraving to the outside is incredibly beautiful and so interesting. The shield design to the front could be monogrammed if desired.
Condition: The locket is in great antique condition with wear commensurate with age. It shuts securely. There are very small ding marks to the edges but these are minimal.
Hallmarked: 9 375 for 9ct gold, Anchor for Birmingham, date letter is quite worn but we believe it is a P for 1914. Makers mark.
