Antique 9ct Onyx "E" Initial Ring

A chunky antique black onyx ring with a gorgeous engraved "E" initial and beautiful engraved shoulders. It's a funky stand out piece and packs a lot of punch in it's beautiful 9ct gold.

The underside of the onyx is enclosed so is super comfortable. There are two areas under the head/shoulders that are made from copper (see photos). In all honesty, we aren't sure of the reason for them but they do not impact the feel or quality of the ring. We suspect it is for strength in keeping the large head held up and not allowing warping of the shoulders.

Condition: The ring is in great antique condition. The onyx stone is shiny and secure. There is a small area to a corner that has surface chipping but this does not impact the security or look.

Hallmarked: Partial stamp of 9ct and XRF tested.
