Antique 9ct Gold Albert Bracelet with Dog Clasp & T bar
At some point in history, this perfect bracelet was made from what once was a gentleman's pocket watch chain. Many times it would have been from a boyfriend, husband, father, grandfather and converted into something wearable for the lady to remember them by. We love that sentiment. The addition of the T bar is the perfect dangly "charm".
Wearing it with the dog clasp sliding along the chain makes it the most tactile piece that moves with you and we love that.
Most often antique 9ct gold has a warm rosey tone to it, but not this one. This is a true yellow gold that looks more 18ct than it does 9ct. With the dog clasp being ever so slightly warmer in tone.
The bracelet links are dainty in width but solid and feel lovely on the wrist. The dog clasp is really handy and just finishes the look off perfectly.
Condition: Great antique condition with light wear commensurate with age. The clasp is strong and springy. The end ring with the T bar is slightly small for the dog clasp and takes some effort to attach (which is not an issue if you wear it with the dog clasp sliding along the links) - if you would like it swapped for a larger ring to be able to attach the dog clasp just leave a message at checkout or send us a message)
Hallmarks: Each link is stamped 9.375. The dog clasp is stamped "9c" and a partial makers mark. The T bar is stamped 9.375, anchor for Birmingham and the makers mark "ACCo". An end link also has the makers mark "ACCo". The entire piece has been XRF tested as 9ct gold.
