Antique Flush Set Old Mine Cut Diamond Ring
Not sure where to start with this absolute stunner... The diamond is absolutely incredible. So much sparkle and fire! It's a hand cut old mine diamond with the open culet, deep facets and high crown that we love to see. It just oozes that old world glamour. It's going to be a hard one to let go of as it may be one of the nicest old diamonds we have come across in a very long time.
The beautiful diamond is set in thick 18ct yellow gold with a perfectly soft satin like finish to it. The edges of the band have been bevelled to give it a modern look - it's really the perfect ring, as classy today as it was when it was made and it will be classy for many more generations. The diamond is set in a flush setting, the buttery gold cradles the diamond in an elevated setting. As the diamond has a typically high crown, it sits above the flush setting.
We think this ring would make the most perfect engagement ring, but it would also be gorgeous as a right hand sparkler.
The diamond has been assessed in its setting as an old mine cut natural earth-mined diamond with a calculated weight of approx .95cts I/J colour - VS1/2. It is bright, white and packs a ton of sparkle. There are no dark carbon inclusions only very small light coloured feather inclusions that can only be seen under magnification. Note that the diamond is set in a flush setting and it has been weighed in its setting, which typically means that the diamond is actually larger than assessed as within the setting.
Condition: The ring is in fantastic antique condition with light wear commensurate with age. The diamond is secure in its custom setting and the gold has been lightly polished.
Hallmarked: The band is stamped 18ct and fully tested as solid 18ct gold.
