Antique Old Mine Cut Diamond Star Set Ring (UK N 1/2)

A perfect domed diamond ring set with a chunky hand cut old mine diamond that sits slightly proud to the deep starburst engraved setting. It's crafted in rich 18ct gold that has attained a softness to it from its many years of life it already has attained at around 120 years old.
 
The diamond definitely stands out and packs a punch.
 
The diamond has been assessed in its setting as an old mine cut natural diamond, approx. .4tcw I/J colour - SI1/2. It is bright and packs a ton of sparkle. Inclusions can only be seen under magnification and are light coloured. 
 
Condition: The ring is in great antique condition with wear commensurate with age.
 
Hallmarks: The original hallmarks appear to have been lost with a historic resize. There is the original makers mark R.P and a stamp 18 ct. The entire piece has been XRF tested as 18ct gold.
