Vintage (1946) 9ct Utility Band (UK L)

Thin solid gold bands are perfect for stacking. We love to have a few in different sizes and different carats to build up stacks. This vintage 9ct skinny band is perfect for every single day and you'll never need to take it off. The flat sides make it perfect for stacking close to other rings.

It's not just any 9ct gold band. The hallmarks date it to 1946 and it has an extra hallmark after the date letter called a utility hallmark. These utility bands were made during and just after World War II when rings were not permitted to be higher than 9 carat gold. They were given this special hallmark.

Hallmarked: 9 375 for 9ct gold, a leopard head for London, a date letter for 1946 and a “utility” hallmark. There is also a makers mark.

Condition: Great vintage condition with light wear commensurate with age.
