Vintage (1948) 9ct Utility Band (UK M)

It's not just any 9ct gold band. The hallmarks date it to 1948 and it has an extra hallmark after the date letter called a utility hallmark. These utility bands were made during and just after World War II when rings were not permitted to be higher than 9 carat gold. They were given this special hallmark. 
 
The 9ct gold has a beautiful soft tone to it due to the patina showing it's old age. 
 
Hallmarked: 9 375 for 9ct gold, a leopard head for London, a date letter for 1948 and a “utility” hallmark. There is also a makers mark WWLd.
 
Condition: Great vintage condition with light wear commensurate with age.
